 The Patient Fund was set-up in 2001. The Fund is used to help pay towards unusual or complex operative treatments that are excluded from benefit from insurance companies or not available on the NHS.

My medical insurance cover ran out about halfway through my treatment and the Knee Foundation was able to give me a grant to cover ongoing costs of my treatment through its Patient Fund.
